Latin name: Pink Snapper Pagrus auratus is the commonest species[5]
Comments: There are several species of ‘Snapper’ in Derbal Nara. Kodj = axe. Older individuals often have a bump on the forehead, possibly given rise to name for ‘head like an axe’.
